CDW delivered a professional service engagement that included creating a rapid GCP landing zone with direct connect circuits and deployment of GKE.
The challenge
The telecom company had a containerized application written by a 3rd party to process data from their devices. The app needed to be deployed into a Kubernetes environment that can provide substantial throughput with low latency. The company's data center team had concerns about managing this infrastructure, which led to the evaluation of using GCP to host the Kubernetes infrastructure with GKE.
The solution
The CDW team uncovered that the customer had limited experience with Kubernetes and a need to deploy an app into a high-performance environment. The CDW team quickly engaged our Google resources, and together they determined that using GCP to host the Kubernetes infrastructure with GKE would fulfill the need.
The result
The customer now has a production GKE environment and a foundational GCP landing zone. They are now using CDW for Managed Services and are reengaging CDW for additional cloud services, demonstrating the success of the partnership and the initial project.
Launched high-performance GKE environment
We partnered with CDW and their GCP Kubernetes expert team for our first Kubernetes Implementation. Could not have been more satisfied with their expertise and willingness to work with us in this new venture.
