Background
Five9 needed a fast, agile, and scalable cloud solution to meet the growing demand for its VOIP application. Its old data center infrastructure could not keep up with the growth. It also wanted to keep its existing software stack compatible with the cloud.
Challenge
Five9 partnered with CDW’s Google Cloud team to use its hybrid and multicloud capabilities. They wanted to deploy their VOIP application across different clouds and regions. But their old deployment models were not cloud-ready and needed major changes to the code and configuration. They needed a partner to help them move and update their software stack to Google Cloud without affecting their business and customers.
Solution & impact
CDW’s Google Cloud sales leadership team designed and implemented a strategy for migrating and modernizing Five9’s cloud software solutions for contact centers. CDW redeveloped and modernized Five9’s main application for a cloud-native approach, using automation to decrease deployment time. CDW also helped Five9 to build elasticity and global capacity by leveraging Google Cloud’s hybrid and multicloud features. As a result, CDW migrated Five9’s entire environment to Google Cloud, reducing workload provisioning from weeks to minutes. Five9 also committed to a multi-year contract with Google Cloud, worth $30M+, and became a strategic partner for CCAI, Google’s Conversational AI platform.
